Led by Jordanna Gessler, the museum’s vice president of education and exhibits, and Christie Jovanovic, collection manager, the May installment of the exclusive series will offer an in-depth look the experiences of Jewish G.I.s through their artifacts, testimonies and documents. About 550,000 Jewish soldiers were part of the US Armed Forces efforts. The archival collections illustrate the soldiers’ unique perspective as both Jews and Americans and serve as a powerful record of the crimes committed by the Nazis.
