35x35: Dual Vision is an annual group exhibition held at the Mexican Center for Culture and Cinematic Arts featuring works by 35 LA-based Mexican and Mexican American writers, musicians and visual artist who are under the age of 35. The purpose of this annual exhibition is to show the diversity of talent in the Mexican American community while also creating connections between the artist. Dual Vision refers to Du Bois' concept of double consciousness, the internal conflict experienced by subordinated groups in an oppressive society. In this case, the double consciousness is exemplified in the contention between opposing identity: Mexican and American. Dual Vision will include works by : Ana Serrano, William Camargo, Anabel Juarez, Ulises Lizarraga, Ramiro Gomez, Gabriella Sanchez, Abdul Mazid, Juan Manuel Idelfonso, Andres Payan, Canneo Canul, Sergio Miguel, Oscar Mendoza, Stephanie Rose Guerrero, Fabian Guerrero, Michael Alvarez, Amanda Lopez, Eric Fanghanel, Parch Es, Cintia Alejandra Segovia, Patricio Morales and Maria Maea Dual Vision exhibit curator Karla Aguiñiga Music program and, exhibit design Alina Escárcega Literature curated by Marty Preciado
